Xanadu 2016
Xanadu is a national Italian project that promotes reading in schools, starting from the seventh grade, all the way through high school. It is a unique way to involve younger generations with culture and reading: through a map of stories and books, all different but tied together by underlying themes.
During the school year all participants have to choose three book titles and comment them freely on the website of the project. The kids are the jury of the competition, their commentaries create a ranking that changes continually. At the end of the month of May, all the participating classes are invited to an event with some of the most voted authors. During this meeting, the results will be revealed and a winner proclaimed. Later on, there will be more meetings between the winning author and the participating classes.
