The winners of the FLIC illustration contest at the Springboard meetings
As a key event of the Montreuil Children’s Book Fair, the Springboard meetings help young authors/illustrators to showcase their works to publishers. This year Transbook teams up with the association Tantagora (Barcelona) and invites the winners of the FLIC festival illustration contest to participate to the event, on December 1st & 2nd.
The fourth edition of the Springboard meetings will extend its influence beyond the national borders. Through a partnership with the Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) through the Programme for the Internationalisation of Spanish Culture (PICE) in the framework of the Mobility grants, two Spanish students from the Arte Diez School of Madrid and Massana design school of Barcelona will participate to the event.
In March this year, Vanessa Miranda and Erna Toepfer participated to the 2017 edition of the illustration contest organized by the Flic festival in Barcelona. In addition of having their works selected for the travelling exhibition "En Conserva" the two young students will be at the Montreuil Children’s Book Fair. They will attend the Springboard meetings to present their last creations to French artistic directors.
This operation is possible because of the collaboration between Tantagora and the Montreuil Children’s Book Fair through the Transbook project. One of Transbook ambitions is to promote young international artists, this invitation testifies of this will and represents a straight continuation to the Transbook mobility programme.
